  • Own and drive the technical aspects of the sales cycle
  • Understand project requirements. Identify and mitigate technical and business risks in order to validate, assess, and qualify technical aspects of relevant deals
  • Ensuring prospects have a clear understanding of the technical capabilities to meet their business goals
  • Lead RFPs, sales demos and custom Proof of Concepts (if required)
  • Manage a database of pre-sales questions and answers to help ensure that all prospect RFPs can be turned around in a quick turnaround to complete each RFP request
  • Become a product capabilities expert, advising our prospects on how to develop their future technology / mar-tech stack based on your industry experience creating leading solutions
  • Lead all Proof-of-Concept initiatives during the pre-sales process, working with sales and solutions architects (who will do the coding) to assure timely and successful delivery
  • Support key deals in your region with technical expertise and solutioning
  • Be passionate about compelling storytelling involving complex technology and adding business value
  • 4+ years of MarTech industry experience (pref. for CMS/DXP/PaaS/SaaS)
  • 2+ years in sales engineering or technical consulting
  • Good technical knowledge and broad understanding of web technologies
  • Ability to see and communicate the big picture in an inspiring way with an inquisitive mind (to achieve actionable insights)
  • Able to speak confidently, steering conversations towards positive outcomes, and offer compelling arguments that lead to conversions focused on the solution
  • Speak plainly and truthfully to earn trust and maintain confidence. Active listening.
  • Organize and plan effectively, focusing on key priorities to produce significant output
  • Clearly articulate across all channels and points of contact
  • Have a proven track record of getting the job done with the maturity to work hard and self-directed when required
