  2. Have a strong record to coach, mentor, and develop sales and marketing teams to drive rapid sales growth initiatives, and create a culture among the team that delivers organizational excellence in both talent and processes.
  3. Sales and Marketing leadership role as an innovative “game changer” in OEM and retail Kitchen and Bath cabinetry, or in home related consumer products.
  4. Proven track record of bringing dynamic, industry disruptive products to market.
  5. Formulate & execute marketing and sales strategies to provide industry leading customer solutions.
  6. A team-oriented and customer focused individual that has a track record of cooperatively working with other functional leads.

ROLE DEFINITION

  • Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Sales & Marketing role is part of the leadership team, responsible for all revenue generation activities.
  • This VP has the opportunity to play an instrumental role in developing company strategy, developing new customer and market segments, marketing and sales programs and initiatives, setting revenue targets, and driving execution.
  • This role requires a passionate leader with a proven track record of developing and managing a team of professionals, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • This VP of Sales & Marketing will identify and develop new business opportunities through organic means.
  • This role must insure that internal resources are aligned to meet the customer’s overall business initiatives.

 

Key characteristics as prerequisites for a successful candidate are: strategic sales, marketing and business vision; outstanding business acumen focused on creative and innovative methods; understanding of the economic industry drivers to improve the organic and new venture capabilities to expand the business; outstanding leadership skills in team building environments; consummate leader in creating and maintaining strong working relationships with other leaders in/outside the company (including industry organizations), that are built upon meeting commitments, communication excellence and highest levels of integrity.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Formulates the company’s sales goals, market growth and profit operating policies and procedures, and directs the implementation of these initiatives; directs timely corrective actions to ensure the achievement of sales results are consistent with company objectives for this company’s diverse products.
  • Translate client needs into marketable product enhancements; work with management to design, implement and market new products and features to the Company’s customers.
  • Leadership in the development and implementation of all marketing programs and initiatives; with the President and leadership team develops and implements pricing, channel and market strategy.
  • Designs, implements, and manages sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes through establishing high levels of quality, accuracy, and processes consistent with budgeting approaches utilized by the corporation.
  • Ensures these budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with the overall goals and objectives of the corporation.
  • Oversees the marketing creative process, including development (imagery and copy) and production of all forms of marketing collateral (electronic or print), including brochures, websites, email marketing, point-of-sale/merchandising materials, advertisements (consumer and trade): leads marketing communications (consumer and trade), including advertising, promotions, public relations, internal and dealer announcements, etc.
  • Ensures implementation of inspiring content (messaging) to support the promotion and sale of products, utilization of programs, effective public relations, etc.
  • Provides leadership to the professional sales & marketing teams, and counsel to the President in implementing and assigning sales organization objectives that appropriately reflect the business goals; equitably and timely assigning sales force quotas, as needed, ensuring the sales and market growth are achieving financial objectives of achieving 20% revenue CAGR.
  • Drives growth through the life cycle management strategies—focusing on a customer service centric model for the global markets and identifies and expands sales and market growth opportunities through potential alliance partners or acquisitions.
  • Provides strategic direction in partnership with the company’s engineering and operations teams to ensure resources are proper aligned in guaranteeing to meet the customer’ product and system business initiatives.
  • Creates an open rapport with customers’ senior leadership & C-Level executives in order to establish effective and long-term relationships facilitated by having a clear understanding of their needs.
  • Achieve profitable sales growth by building market position with existing and potential clients and identifying M&A targets.
  • Oversees the sales & marketing teams in identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Facilitates successful implementation of new programs through the organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales & marketing process is in place.
  • Fosters an organization of continuous process improvement.

 

ABILITIES AND APTITUDES

  • Demonstrated commitment to "Top Grading" talent development in order to attract, build, and strengthen cohesive teams with the ability to create and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers and between internal functions.
  • Accomplished leadership and experience within the Kitchen and Bath Cabinet market preferred.
  • Outstanding interactive strategic leader who thinks on a global level by possessing the capacity to lead, direct, manage and work in an environment with multiple functional disciplines; ability to delegate and negotiate to achieve desired objectives.
  • Possess intuitive thinking abilities - ability to connect the dots and make sense of disparate sources of data so that decision are fact based in formulating plans and overall strategic direction of the sales and marketing teams.
  • Capability to build a strong commercial team that will creatively and innovatively investigate and launch new or modify existing products in order to increase profitability, open distributive network capacities and reduce costs in order to more effectively compete.
  • Proficient at product development, marketing, and business development activities; sound knowledge of financial/accounting practices and statements.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of business experience with a proven track record of successful sales growth and profitability that increases shareholder value, coupled with substantial internal and external growth.
  • Must have at least 10 years of responsibility within the industry segment as a sales and marketing executive.
  • The successful candidate will be knowledgeable of marketing, sales, product development, and customer support.
  • A successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with proven leadership skills, diligence in M&A activities and be a sound financial executive.
  • Knowledge must be accompanied with solid business acumen and extensive experience in managing direct and indirect teams and expertise in organic and new business development.
  • A successful candidate will be well versed in documenting revenue growth via sales tracking tools and modeling for presentation to senior leadership.
  • This person will have BS Degree in Engineering, or Business with emphasis in sales, marketing and or product development.
  • An MBA is highly desirable.
