| Description: My client is a leader in the specialty insurance field both nationally and internationally.
They are rated A+ by A.M. Best. Their operations consist of insurance agencies, property, casualty and surety companies.
They currently have a position in their New York office for an E&O Claims Examiner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Investigate highly complex claims for E&O that consist of coverage's for doctors, lawyers, accountants, architects, financial institutions, engineers etc.
These policies are written on a "claims made" or claims made and reported" form.
You will analyze coverage, litigation, reservations of rights, non-waivers, declination letters, reduce pay-outs, supervising outside counsel and set accurate reserves. Attend mediations and settlement conferences. Work closely with underwriters, attend audits.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor' s degree with 5 plus years expertise in E&O coverage analysis. Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks as necessary.
DESIRE:
JD preferred but not required.
