Job Title: Sr. Project Manager - Construction

Description: The Senior Project Manager provides overall management direction to multiple projects, establishes project objectives and policies, maintains liaison with prime client contracts, and monitors construction and financial activities through administrative direction of on-site Project Managers.
Responsibilities: X Demonstrates exceptional level of technical knowledge of commercial construction, contracts, and other construction documents and specifications Demonstrates strong preconstruction skills and knowledge Effectively organizes, starts and closes out projects Demonstrates a mastery of technical knowledge from multiple areas of the business (engineer; field superintendent; estimator; purchasing, etc.) Successfully manages CM for fee on multiple CM projects Creates, maintains, and implements complex CPM schedule X Demonstrates a exceptional level of customer service Demonstrates understanding of the importance of serving the internal and external customer and successfully executes on customer service Maintains and is recognized as having a positive and professional interactions with the owner(s)/customer(s) Successfully negotiates 90% or more of project issues Leads team/staff to provide excellent customer service X Demonstrates strong leadership ability Consistently displays ability to motivate and effectively lead a team Successfully coaches, mentors, and trains staff Leads by example when showing initiative to go above and beyond assignment specific duties Demonstrates strong sense of accountability on both small/simple projects as well as larger/complex projects Demonstrates excellent judgment when handling difficult and/or sensitive situations/issues Demonstrates excellence in professionally and effectively handling confrontation both internally and externally X Demonstrates high level of knowledge of project financials and success in project profitability Successfully manages $10-$25 million in projects (whether singularly or combined) with minimal oversight Successfully handles either side of $15 million projects (superintendent/engineer/manager) Successfully leads estimating and/or purchasing on $5-$10 million project/program X Demonstrates capability to create budget and track at all levels of the project X Demonstrates strong understanding of risk management and safety proactively reporting unsafe work practices X Demonstrates and documents safety leadership and oversight of team responsibilities X Controls and executes all aspects of project close-out X Participates in sales preparation, proposal meetings, and networking events X Continues building industry knowledge through related training (e.g., LEED AP, PE, etc.)
Requirements: X Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or related industry degree and 10+ years commensurate experience X Completed OSHA 10-hour training X Exceptional trade/craft labor knowledge X Working knowledge of cost/claim avoidance X Proven analytical and problem solving ability X Proven leadership and team building skills X Strong knowledge of MS Office suite and other industry/company related programs X Proven written and verbal communication skills X Ability to effectively present to both and internal and external audience
