Our client is a leading national producer of ready-to-eat processed fruits that has doubled in size over the last 3 years. They have an immediate need for a Sanitation Manager to drive their continuous sanitation processes. This is primarily a 3rd shift position with an employee base on all shifts. Location has a reasonable cost of living with access to multiple outdoor activities. Position will report to the Sr. Manager of Quality and Food Safety.
As the Sanitation Manager, you are the front line management ensuring environmental sanitation and food safety for this large facility. With over 80 employees reporting to this position, leadership will be critical to drive adherence to all processes, procedures and reporting requirements. Will provide technical input on cleaning procedures/methodology and policies. Will work with the contracted sanitation materials supplier on usage, best practices and industry knowledge to adhere to RTE standards.
Strong preference for a BS degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or similar and at least 3+ years managing a sanitation department.
· Must have past experience with RTE or limited shelf life products.
· Ability to effectively develop policies, procedures and training programs to ensure company, state and federal sanitary requirements.
· Ability to communicate with all levels of management and subordinate staff in a rapidly changing production environment.
