Description: 

This is an opportunity to join a well-established craft beer company with national brand recognition. Our client company is looking to fill a field sales distributor management role responsible for the sales and profitability of the company's brands in Northern California and Nevada. We are looking for an outstanding sales professional that has knowledge of the beer industry and experience managing a network of distributors. This position will be home based in the Northern California area.

Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinates the activities of wholesalers within assigned area of responsibility insuring the implementation of all sales and marketing programs for the entire portfolio.
  • Analyzes and evaluates market opportunities through field assessments and market data analysis.
  • Develops and implements regional market plans at the wholesale level to include the measurement and analysis of distributor performance against objectives.
  • Motivates and builds commitment with distributor management and sales force to achieve sales objectives, while increasing company's "share of mind" within the distributor organization.
  • Measures distributor effectiveness in sales, merchandising activities and sales objectives.
  • Supervises and monitors the allocation and use of all point-of-sale materials in accordance with budgeting and account/market objectives.
  • Maintains wholesaler and market profiles, to include pricing, distribution, volume and general market information.
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of consumer product sales and sales management experience is required. Malt beverage or beverage alcohol industry experience is REQUIRED.
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills and possess a strong work ethic and leadership aptitude.
  • Must be a self-starter who is able to work with a minimum amount of direction. Must be able to interface with various levels of management, at wholesale as well as retail.
  • Having both supplier and wholesaler level experience is a plus.
  • Must have above average computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to motivate and influence others who are not in a direct reporting relationship.
