Description: Our client is an exciting, profitable and growing telecom service provider that has a reputation for having a fun and friendly work culture. They are seeking a NOC Engineer with extensive Telecom industry experience.
Responsibilities: NOC Technician will be responsible for
the proactive monitoring of the global network infrastructure and
customer services (e.g. availability and performance) related to
the services supplied to internationally. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting,
monitoring maintenance activities (emergency maintenance
requests), identifing and isolating problems on monitored services either
manually or through automated testing by using various
troubleshooting tools. Will escalate issues when necessary and appropriate
(technical support, 3rd party vendors and partners, management).
Will be knowledgeable and stays current on all Fault Management
& operational guidelines as frequently as is necessary to
perform required duties and contributes to the maintenance
of procedures by providing feedback. Provide accurate reporting of events.
Requirements: · Experience range from 3-5 years of Technical Support
(customer facing) with 1-2 years of experience in an IP based NOC (preferably International)
· Knowledge of telecommunications technical basics (optical
and IP networks)
· Knowledge of IP networks: TCP/IP, OSI layers 1-4, routing
protocols (BGP, MPLS, etc)
· Work in an International team without close supervision
· Preference for fluency in Spanish (verbal and written)
