Description: Dallas-based distributor of telecommunications accessory products has expanded operations into southern California. It has an opening for a Los Angeles-based Business Development Manager to sell/service accounts for its wireless infrastructure products.
Responsibilities: The Business Development Manager will report to the Vice President of Sales, and will be responsible for serving and growing the Company's wireless dealer and contract customer base in California, Arizona and Nevada to achieve sales objectives and gross profit targets. Duties and responsibilities include: --Living in the Los Angeles (Orange county) area and traveling 30-40% of the time with the sales regios to meeting with new and existing accounts. --Maintaining/growing customer customer, increasing frequency of pruchases and promoting positive customer relationships and loyalty with detailed follow-up through all phases of sales transactions. -- Assisting in the preparation of bids, quotes and specifications/requirements of jobs. --Documenting and presenting sales efforts to management for timely review. --Staying abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, new product offerings and competitors' marketing, sales and pricing practices to maintain the Company's competitive advantage in this specialized marketplace. --Attending trade shows and conferences, as required, as a Company representative.
Requirements: --College degree in marketing, business or related field or equivalent experience. --Three to five years of direct or related sales experience. --Technical aptitude and understanding of the wireless infrastructure marketplace and the accessory products used. --Must live in the Los Angeles area; no relocation allowance is offered.
Compensation: Base salary is $70,000-$80,000, depending on the applicant's background and experience, plus potential bonus/commission equal to base salary.
